Jiao Ying
Jiao Ying's paintings take on a prism-like effect resulting in something more akin to stained glass or cloisonnè on paper. She often paints on both sides of the paper, painstakingly applying small color segments. The result is colors bursting from the paper like light through glass! Influenced by the contemporary painters of the Yunnan province of China where she studied as a student, Ying has brought this lush painting style to the Pacific Northwest.
